who else made this mistake, that thought light brown morgans are different & there's two of them? well, i made. there's 1 one them for real. i'm so happy to get this little guy in my stable tonight. he's full of energy, none can't stop him !
i love these new animations which came with morgan horses. gaits are getting more & more elegant, i think. it's good thing... but. these new 'elegant' gaits are going to wrong breeds. how about oldenburg, selle francais, arabian horses, english thoroughbred? sso has to create special animations for them aswell. morgan, quarters or new realised american paint horses aren't top of these all breeds. i dare to say that some old sso breeds should have these elegant gaints, because of breed. morgan & american paint horse for example has pretty traditional gaits. i love these animations, but sso could trace more about particular breed's gaits.
did you think, why morgans were only 790 star coins? they have the best animations this far & breed seems to be even more popular than american paint horses for example. if we think about these horse's speed, what if they're slower than paints & quarters? or is it just because players wanted so? or is it just because original breed was cheap as well?
as i expect, this breed is also build to quarter's shape. morgan horses are about 140-145 inches, so they shouldn't be this high compared to quarters example. proportions are one of the biggest problems if we come to breeds on star stable. i like the new colors, they are all allowed, because they are single-color.
why sso didn't show this dark brown morgan on their video? was there actually 2 light brown ones, but they were too similar, so they decided to create new one. or is it just nice surprise for all players, even if there read 'all new morgan horses'.
more about animations. i love all gaits. walk, trot, gallop. all they are simple, but at the same it, elegant. jumping style was way too long & low, which isn't good combination. looks like rabbit would be jumping in the forest. rare. it was very well animated, unfortenately it was way too slow for my eye. well made, way too slow. when horse is moving, character is moving back and for very fastly. specially on gallop. it just doesn't seems to be natural for me. horse's head is moving all the time & when morgan is eating grass or something, his back looks very weird. i don't know is this same problem with quarters, paint horses & appaloosas, but i just saw this today.
one more thing:
welcome home, ash.
